Lobbyists are hoping that Carrie Lam will set up a Children's Commission as stated in her election manifesto. In the SCMP, Billy Wong Wai-yuk (Executive Secretary of the Hong Kong Committee on Children's Rights) has said that the Commission needs to be a statutory body with teeth and not a 'wishy-washy' advisory body.
